According to Isabel Quiroz, executive director of iQonsulting, the market analysts, Peru's blueberry volumes are expected to be between 30 and 40 per cent lower this season due to delays caused by the warmer weather caused by El Niño, but Peru's delay is the most worrying for them.

The Global Blueberry Price Index of Italian Berry surveyed on 16/10/2023 increased by 1.3% compared to the previous week. The index monitors 14 global retail brands, 14 of which had product on offer in the 16/10/2023 survey.

The price index for berries in the Italian retail sector increased by 0.4%, although there were strong differences between the different products in the category.

Wholesale blueberry prices in Ukraine in 2023 were still relatively low, although, at first glance, they did not appear to be record low. Last year, in 2022, they had periodically dropped even lower than this year.

The Global Retail Price Index for Blueberries has increased by 3.3% in week 41/2023. In particular the Premium segment has shown an even higher variation.
