Prices up for all products in the berry category in Italy in week 41/2023

The joint venture between BayWa and Nufri, with a 50 per cent stake each, based in Huelva, Spain, will grow new premium blueberry varieties from BayWa Global Produce Group's subsidiary, VentureFruit, and its breeding programmes.

The berry category in Turin this week saw Carrefour Market as the most convenient store, with blueberries at € 1.35 per 125g. The survey took place on 18/09/2023 in the urban area of Bologna and covered 20 shops.

The Global Blueberry Price Index of the Italian Berry basket as measured on 11/09/2023 increased by 3.4 per cent compared to the previous week, with a 5.4 per cent increase for the standard segment. The index consists of 14 large global retail brands.
