Delphy ISFC Summer Event 2024: A convergence of expertise and research on soft fruits

The third annual Delphy ISFC Summer Event will take place in the Summer of 2024. This unique event will be hosted amidst soft fruit crops and research projects, facilitating a direct link between knowledge development and distribution in a practical setting related to the international soft fruit industry.

Program Highlights

The event will commence with the Innovation Partner Experience on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, at the Signify premises in Eindhoven. This session provides an opportunity for attendees to interact with Delphy ISFC's Innovation Partners, including Haifa, Jiffy, MJ-Tech, and Signify. The event is structured to begin at 12:00 PM with a lunch, followed by interactive sessions where partners will share their insights and innovations until 4:00 PM.

Field Day

The main event, the Field Day, will occur on Thursday, June 6th, 2024, at the Delphy ISFC facility located in Horst. The day will feature an exhibition involving the entire soft fruit network, alongside thematic seminars. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the facilities to observe various soft fruit crops including strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. The Field Day will conclude with a dinner, providing an environment conducive to networking and informal discussions.

Field Trip

On Friday, June 7th, 2024, the Field Trip will offer a practical exploration of Dutch propagators and soft fruit producers. The tour will commence from Parkhotel Horst at 7:30 AM and is scheduled to conclude at 4:00 PM. Participants may opt to join by bus or travel independently. Lunch will be provided as part of the tour.

Accommodation Options

For those requiring overnight accommodations, the Parkhotel in Horst is conveniently located within walking distance of the Delphy ISFC facility and has reserved a block of rooms for the nights of June 6-7. Alternative accommodations include the Asteria Hotel in Venray, located approximately 10km from the Delphy ISFC, and various Bed & Breakfast options in Horst.
