Among historic villages, blooming meadows, and the epic climbs that made cycling history in the Alpine valleys of Cuneo, the passion for sport meets the explosive taste and health benefits of European berries with Berry Swing, the communication and promotion project co-funded by the European Union and dedicated to berries grown in Europe.
The project will in fact be the official sponsor of the 36th edition of the Granfondo La Fausto Coppi, one of the most beloved and followed amateur cycling races in Europe, which attracts thousands of participants from all over the world every year.
This prestigious partnership was born, first and foremost, from the shared values of promoting a healthy and mindful lifestyle, a love for the land, and a passion for sport—but that’s not all.
Red berries – blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and currants – are not only delicious but are also considered a true superfood: a natural concentrate of antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients regarded as a “smart and zero waste” snack because they are light, have no waste, and are perfect to take outdoors as a tasty break during sports activities. They are also ideal as a post-workout snack, helping to counteract inflammation and oxidative stress, supporting recovery.
The Granfondo La Fausto Coppi is a unique opportunity for Berry Swing to demonstrate and reaffirm how well-being can be natural, sustainable, and accessible to all thanks to the vitality of European berries. The project by CSO Italy, co-funded by the European Union, aims to highlight the virtuous connection between personal health and the health of the planet, with berries as symbols of a mindful, modern, and responsible agriculture—true allies for physical well-being.
The following companies are also participating in the project: Apofruit, Lagnasco Group, Gullino, Mediterraneo Group, Apo Scaligera, and Mazzoni Frozen.
