Prices are sharply rising for all references, especially for blueberries split between Polish origin (decreasing) and – above all – Peru. Blackberries and raspberries are almost exclusively Italian, though showing end-of-season signs with poor shelf life and standard fruit quality. Redcurrants, Italian, are the only reference with lower prices.
Supermarkets are slightly less stocked: shelf space has significantly decreased due to rising prices, but lots are fresh, packed within the last 4–5 days, with good turnover. Few brands: in Trento, Sant’Orsola is very strong, dominating over less relevant competitors.
Here are the main highlights of the new edition of the Small Fruit Observatory. Yesterday, September 24, 2025, the survey was carried out in the urban area of Trento and covered 16 points of sale from 16 banners belonging to 11 organized retail groups.
Specifically: Aldi, Famiglia Cooperativa, Despar Italia, Gruppo Pam, Gruppo Poli, Lidl.
