The 4th International Strawberry Congress, to be held in Antwerp, Belgium, from 21 to 24 September 2022, has been presented. This congress offers a unique combination of business strategy and scientific research. According to the organisers, 'with this congress we intend to create a platform for networking and information exchange based on research, cultivation and marketing of strawberries for the fresh market. The programme includes two days of lectures by speakers, presentations and panel discussions at the Flanders Meeting & Convention Centre, plus a day of field trips and the International Strawberry Mechanisation and Demonstration Fair organised by the Hoogstraten Research Centre on Saturday."
"We integrate the biennial 'International Strawberry Mechanisation and Demonstration Fair (IMDS)' of the Hoogstraten Research Centre into our International Strawberry Congress 2022. This fair will be organised for the 12th time in the Hoogstraten Research Centre's greenhouse complex. During the exhibition there will be various greenhouse and field demonstrations. In addition to mechanisation and demonstrations, other topics such as the sustainable use of water, integrated pest and disease control and the digitisation and automation of current strawberry cultivation will also be illustrated. In addition, there will be guided tours organised by the research team to present current research topics and show ongoing trials."
