In October 2026, exclusive Italian Berry data updated to 30 October show opposing trends for blueberries and raspberries across the two most frequently recorded pack types. Standard blueberries in 125 g packs reach an average price of € 2.69, up 3.2% on September and 11.8% on October 2025. Standard raspberries of the same weight fall to € 2.59, down 11.7% month on month and 2.6% year on year.
The contrast emerges from two similarly sized sets of observations: 148 price observations for blueberries and 141 for raspberries. With the same pack size, the two products have similar price levels, but reach them through different movements: for blueberries, the monthly rise accompanies an increase on the previous year, while for raspberries both comparisons are negative.

Prices by product: a mixed picture in October
Trends in the other products confirm that the category does not move in a single direction during the month. Standard blackberries in 125 g packs increase both compared with September and year on year. Standard strawberries in 250 g packs remain almost unchanged month on month, but cost more than a year earlier. Standard redcurrants in 125 g packs, meanwhile, decline compared with September while maintaining a double-digit increase on October 2025.

Raspberries: declines across several formats and a higher promotional share
Raspberry prices decline across all the combinations listed. Alongside the fall in standard 125 g packs, standard 200 g packs drop 20.6% month on month to € 3.41. Premium raspberries in 125 g packs also decline, reaching € 2.93: the monthly comparison shows a 6.9% decrease, which should be read in light of the small sample flagged in the table, while the annual comparison shows a 4.4% decline across two retail banners.
Standard raspberries in 125 g packs also have the highest promotional share among the most frequently recorded products: 13.5% of observations concern packs on promotion. By comparison, the share is 3.4% for standard blueberries in 125 g packs and 2.3% for standard strawberries in 250 g packs. The figure indicates a higher incidence of promotions for raspberries, without quantifying their contribution to the decline in the average price.
Blueberries: standard formats rise, while premium moves against the monthly trend
For standard blueberries, prices rise across all three pack sizes considered. The 250 g packs reach € 4.19, up 5.2% on September; the 300 g packs reach € 4.58, up 7.9%. Year on year, however, the movements differ: the 250 g format increases by 1.2%, while the 300 g format records a 10.1% rise, based on just four retail banners.
The standard 125 g pack records the largest annual increase among the blueberry formats listed, at 11.8%. For this product, the median of € 2.58 remains below the average of € 2.69: the central value of the observations is therefore lower than the average price.
Within the same fruit category, however, segment and pack size show different signals. Organic blueberries in 125 g packs rise 9.4% month on month to € 4.06. Premium blueberries in 160 g packs, meanwhile, fall 4.8% to € 3.37, although they remain 4.1% above October 2025 across the two retail banners compared.
Strawberries, blackberries, redcurrants and mixed packs
Standard strawberries in 250 g packs, with 131 observations, show broad stability compared with September: the average price of € 2.67 represents a change of −0.1%. The picture changes in the annual comparison, which shows a 7.2% increase across the 12 retail banners compared.
Standard blackberries in 125 g packs reach € 3.09, up 6.8% month on month and 4.4% year on year. Standard redcurrants in 125 g packs move in opposite directions across the two comparisons: they fall 3.6% on September to € 2.19, but remain 12.2% more expensive than in October 2025 across the 13 retail banners compared.
Mixed packs also show different trends. The standard three-berry mix in 150 g packs falls to € 3.63, down 2.6% month on month and 1.8% year on year. The standard berry mix in 200 g packs declines 1.9% on September to € 4.63, while the standard two-berry mix in 200 g packs rises 7.4% month on month and 7.5% year on year to € 4.38.
Analysis by retail banner
The retail breakdown shows how widely the average movements are shared by individual banners. For standard raspberries in 125 g packs, the decline is widespread: prices fall at 17 of the 19 retail banners with comparable September data. For standard blueberries of the same weight, however, the average increase encompasses very different situations, from double-digit rises to substantial reductions.

At the other end of the scale, Amazon online falls 16.4% compared with September to € 2.60. The monthly decline does not, however, offset the increase on the previous year: the price remains 14.8% above October 2025. Carrefour Iper and Dpiù in-store also record monthly declines, of 7.4% and 6.7% respectively, with average prices of € 2.30 and € 2.08.

The exceptions are Esselunga online, down 2.9%, and Gruppo Poli online, down 0.3%, while PAM online remains stable.
The distinction between in-store and online also reveals movements that can differ within the same retail banner. At Esselunga, for example, standard blueberries in 125 g packs rise 1.0% online and fall 1.4% in-store compared with September. The average figure for the product therefore encompasses a range of trends.
Standard raspberries 125 g
For raspberries, the monthly decline is more widely shared. The largest reductions are recorded at Esselunga online (−22.4%), Famila online (−20.8%), Carrefour Iper in-store (−20.3%) and Esselunga in-store (−19.8%). Their average October prices range from € 2.31 to € 2.61 per pack.
Only Amazon and Carrefour online record increases compared with September, of 2.7% and 0.9% respectively. In both cases, however, prices remain below October 2025 levels: by 28.0% for Amazon and 5.3% for Carrefour. For raspberries too, therefore, the monthly and annual comparisons can point in opposite directions.

The lowest average prices reported for October are found at discounters: Aldi at € 2.04, Dpiù at € 2.05 and Lidl in-store at € 2.23. The Dpiù figure is based on five observations and the Lidl figure on seven; neither retail banner was recorded in September, so they are excluded from the monthly comparison shown.
The monthly decline does not, however, mean that all retail banners have returned below the previous year's levels. Famila online, despite falling 20.8% compared with September, remains 5.9% above October 2025. Bennet online shows a similar pattern: down 16.5% month on month, but up 1.4% year on year. Italmark online records a monthly decline of 5.5% while maintaining an annual increase of 18.3%.
Reading note: prices are expressed in euros per pack. In the tables by brand, figures in brackets indicate the number of observations. An asterisk denotes a sample of fewer than five observations: the figure is indicative only. Annual comparisons by product cover retail banners present in both periods; their number is shown in brackets in the first table.
