The Piedmontese foundation Agrion is organizing a field visit to an extensive trial of June-bearing strawberries, where it will be possible to view some recently introduced varieties (Klodia, Elodì - cover picture - and Corita) and reference varieties (Brilla and Olympia) during their harvesting/maturing phases.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14 at 11:00 AM at Bordone Piercarlo's farm in Monteu Roero (Cuneo).
The Agrion Foundation, located in Manta, Cuneo, is dedicated to research, innovation, and technological development in the agricultural sector of Piedmont. Founded in 2014 by the initiative of the Piedmont Region and the Union of Piedmont Chambers of Commerce, it represents the regional center for agricultural research and innovation. The Foundation has incorporated the regional experimentation center CReSO, thus expanding its human and technical resources.
Agrion operates through four experimental units that cover the areas of fruiticulture, horticulture, hazelnut cultivation, and viticulture. In addition to conducting experiments to address phytopathological issues, the Foundation serves as a coordination hub for agricultural technicians, offering updates, diagnostic support, and predictive models. It also actively participates in national and international research networks to promote innovation in the sector.
