Blueberry marketer Agrovision is gearing up to produce its largest crop ever in Peru, as shared by the company's general manager, Felipe Venegas, in an interview with Gestion.

The report highlights that the company now operates over 2,200 hectares of blueberry production in the country and is aiming to harvest around 33,000 tonnes of varieties such as Sekoya Pop, Sekoya Beauty, and BiancaBlue this season.

“After 2022, we recorded a harvest of 18,000 tonnes of blueberries, but last year, production fell to under 14,000 tonnes,” Venegas told the publication. “However, the current season is progressing well.”

Agrovision recently secured $100 million in financing, which is set to support its global berry growth by expanding production and distribution networks, alongside new product development and marketing efforts.

In 2024 alone, the company has launched new production sites in Romania, Thailand, Egypt, Indonesia, and Yunnan, China.
