Wholesale: Chilean currants up to €45/kg

It is time for Italian raspberries, blueberries and blackberries in the wholesale markets.

A few weeks of waiting for national currants while in the agri-food centres the Chilean product (to a much reduced extent the Dutch one) is flying in the quotations: from 30 to 45 euros per kilo.

Raspberry are back with Italian household consumption growing by 21% in 2023
After a period of sharply declining consumption (-39% in volume and -20% in value between 2021 and 2022), the consumption of raspberries by Italian households resumed a positive trend on all the main indicators according to Italian Berry - GfK data updated to 31/12/2023.
