389

The raspberry harvest in Switzerland is 14 days late this year due to heavy rainfall in the country. However, these summer fruits are now ripe. This was announced last week by "Schweizer Früchte".

In the coming weeks, which will be more productive, around 750 tonnes of raspberries can be harvested and the forecast for the whole of 2021 is better than last year: in 2020 there were 2,255 tonnes, now 2,300 tonnes are expected (harvesting will continue until October).

The total area devoted to raspberries in Switzerland is 175 hectares.
