The 5th International Conference "Berries of Russia 2021" will be held on 24-25 February 2022 in Voronezh, Russia. The event, which will take place both in person and online, is organised by the Berry Union and theFruit News news agency and will be available free of charge on the Berry Union website.
Berry Union is an association of Russian producers and processors of berries , whose objectives are to stimulate the development of the domestic berry industry, expand the range of Russian berries and improve the quality of products made from berries.
The Berry Union also helps small-scale growers by developing mutual business communications between its members, organising events such as the one mentioned above and coordinating the activities of all participants in the sector.
The following are invited and will participate in the meeting: producers and processors of berries, suppliers of seedlings, producers of fertilisers and plant protection products, suppliers of services, equipment and materials for growing, packing and processing berries; representatives of the wholesale and retail trade , scientific and educational institutions.
During the conference, points will be discussed concerning:
- Results and conclusions of the 2021 season. Prospects for the 2022 season;
- Development of marketing channels for berry products in Russia;
- Characteristics of effective protection and pollination of berry crops in protected land;
- Cultivation of berries in tunnels and greenhouses;

Blueberries Consulting, in its ongoing commitment to the commercial and technical development of the blueberry crop in Chile, is organising the 18th International Blueberry Seminar Chile 2022, sponsored by the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture, the Agricultural Research Institute (INIA) and the Chilean Nursery Association (AGV).
It will be the first face-to-face event of the year and an opportunity for the Chilean supply chain and much of the international industry of blueberry to meet again in Chile, with the common goal of sharing knowledge and increasing the competitiveness of Chilean blueberries in the global market.
Analysis of the season and solutions to logistical problems that currently hinder distribution will be analysed, focusing on post-harvest and fruit quality, improving competitiveness through varietal change and new business opportunities for organic production, among others.
Leading international academics, technicians and specialists will be present to present and inform about new knowledge on strategic issues, especially chosen to improve the prospects of the blueberry industry in Chile.
The meeting will take place on 7 April at the Monticello Conference Centre, and will be an opportunity to share, interact and network with the various players of the Chilean industry at blueberry and top representatives of the thriving Peruvian industry, among many other foreign visitors.
