According to the latest Crop Report from the Chilean Blueberry Committee, during week 2 of 2025, there was a significant export activity of fresh blueberries from Chile, with a peak of 11,767 tons, bringing the accumulated total to 55,946 tons shipped worldwide during this 2024-25 campaign. This volume is 7% higher than the same week of the 2023/24 season but 18% lower than the 2022/23 season during the same period.
These shipments are very much in line with the estimates of the Committee for the period, with a difference of only 2% from the forecasts.
The supply by varietal groups has not changed. During week 2, group 1 (recommended and new varieties) represented 81% of the total, with the three main exported varieties being: Legacy (45% of the total shipped to date), Duke (14%), and Blue Ribbon (12%).
Regarding destinations, the distribution follows the trend of previous weeks. Continental Europe continues to absorb the largest share of Chilean blueberry exports, with a 41% share, while the United States accounts for 35% since the beginning of the season. South Korea and the United Kingdom rank third and fourth, with 8% and 7%, respectively.
During week 2, the organic products segment also marked a peak, with 1,855 tons exported, accumulating 6,759 tons since the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign. This represents a 12% share of the total Chilean blueberry exports for this season.
