The annual meeting of the Portuguese Association of Blueberry Producers (ANPM) concluded with a technical day at Nberry's packhouse in Sátão (100 km west of Porto and 300 km north of Lisbon).
The Portuguese blueberry production, processing and marketing company hosted a meeting where some of the event's technical sponsors were able to demonstrate their solutions live to producers.
The company showed its blueberry processing line, sized for 100-350 tonne producers.
Jésus Cruz, area sales manager of Tomra Food (photo), explained the main features of the line installed by Nberry:
- Lift belt: belt to feed the line with blueberries.
- Eliminator: eliminator of fruit smaller than 10mm, leaves and flowers.
- Soft Sorter: soft fruit sorter with a capacity of 2,300Kg/h.
- Manual inspection table: to perform the sorting manually.
- CURO8: 8-head filler with a capacity of 100 punnets/minute (125 grams) and the possibility of all types of packaging up to 1Kg in weight.
- Denester: to feed the line automatically.
- Rotatory table: to collect the punnets
