Penny Chang, Import Fruit Category Manager at Carrefour Taiwan, stated that "the first Peruvian Sekoya blueberries of the 2023/2024 season arrived at Carrefour Taiwan in August, just in time for the traditional Hungry Ghost Month. During this month, people in Taiwan purchase large quantities of food and fruit as offerings to worship and show respect to the spirits of their ancestors."
To meet the demand for bulk purchases during this period, most Carrefour hypermarkets in Taiwan display the fruit not only in loose form but also in whole cartons. Chang mentioned, "The more you buy, the more you save and earn."
From August to December, Carrefour Taiwan hypermarkets will have a continuous supply of Peruvian Sekoya blueberries available.
