Moncrivello promotes blueberries through territory, supply chain and local market

22

From 18 to 21 June 2026, Moncrivello will host the 12th edition of the Blueberry and Moncrivello Excellence Festival, an event that confirms the role of this small town in the province of Vercelli in promoting blueberries as a product closely linked to the local identity.

The event is not merely a popular festival, but also an interesting example of territorial marketing applied to berries. In Moncrivello, blueberries have gradually become part of an agricultural, gastronomic and cultural narrative, connecting local production, proximity tourism, catering and the promotion of local excellence.

For a professional audience in the supply chain, the most relevant event is scheduled for Friday 19 June at 6:00 p.m., with the conference at Moncrivello Castle and the presentation of the Golden Blueberry Award, a recognition that in previous editions has been awarded to leading figures from the agricultural, institutional, environmental and agri-food sectors.

Another point of interest is the Blueberry Market, scheduled for Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June, featuring local products, crafts, associations and initiatives linked to the area’s productions. The market offers an opportunity to observe how blueberries are integrated into a broader territorial experience, where the fresh product interacts with processed products, gastronomy, hospitality and local culture.

Also particularly significant from a B2B perspective are the guided visits to the blueberry fields of Moncrivello, scheduled for Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June at 5:00 p.m. These moments bring consumers, operators and visitors closer to the place of production, strengthening the perceived agricultural value of the product and the link between origin, quality and territory.

On Sunday 21 June at 10:00 a.m., the conference “Cultivating well-being: health begins with the soil” is also scheduled, alongside the market of virtuous producers from Gruppo Origini at the Castle. The topic is particularly relevant for the berry sector, which is increasingly called upon to communicate not only the characteristics of the product, but also the agricultural model, the sustainability of the production process and the relationship between soil, health and food quality.
