Partita in maniera sperimentale, sta prendendo piede la coltivazione di mirtillo americano fuori suolo, ai margini della Piana di Lamezia Terme, sul versante tirrenico della provincia di Catanzaro (Calabria). I quantitativi prodotti saranno commercializzati interamente sul mercato calabrese.
