Sofrupak's SoFruMiniPak® EcoView has been nominated for the Innovation Award. The trays, which are mainly used for packaging berries, consist of cellulose-based trays and films.
"The trays were designed for organic blueberries sold on the German market," Adam Sikorski, Sofrupak's sales manager, told Fruchthandel magazine during Fruit Attraction. "This packaging is 100% biodegradable. This means that this packaging solution can be disposed of either in household compost or waste paper.
