Presented at PMA 2019 in Anaheim, California, Pacific Centennial™ is a jumbo raspberry that balances its sweet, juicy flavor with a texture that improves shelf stability. It is described as having a "classic" red raspberry flavor with a hint of pomegranate undertone.
This variety was created by Pacific Berry Breeding, a programme set up by Naturipe Berry Growers in 2003 to provide consumers with the best tasting berries possible. Now owned by Hortifrut, another grower/owner of Naturipe Farms, Pacific Berry Breeding is one of the world's most specialised variety breeding programmes, dedicated to finding new varieties of berries that offer high yields and exceptional taste.
