The new General Manager of the Sant’Orsola Agricultural Cooperative is Dr. Michele Plancher. The appointment was made by the company’s Board of Directors, chaired by President Silvio Bertoldi, during its Wednesday evening meeting, with the unanimous approval of all members present.

A 52-year-old Trentino native with a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Trento, Plancher has been Head of the Administrative and Financial Department of the cooperative since June 2023. He brings with him 25 years of professional experience in prominent corporate positions within the administrative sector.

His expertise accumulated over many years and the very positive assessment of his work at the cooperative—carried out with competence and professional rigor—convinced the Board of Directors to agree on his appointment. Plancher is also well known in Trentino for his areas of responsibility, including banking administration within the network of Casse Rurali (Rural Credit Banks).

“This position represents for me a stimulating challenge and an opportunity for both personal and professional growth,” commented the new General Manager of Sant’Orsola, adding, “I intend to put my experience to good use, promoting a participatory leadership model that encourages everyone’s contribution.”

Plancher now leads a cooperative recognized by the market as Italy’s leading producer and marketer in the sector, known internationally and strongly focused on further expansion. At the end of 2024, Sant’Orsola recorded characteristic revenues (berries, strawberries, cherries) of €71 million, up 9.44 percentage points compared to the previous year, and provides employment to an average of 200 people throughout the year.
