### Notice on the Use of Artificial Intelligence
Italian Berry may use artificial intelligence tools to support the production and processing of texts and images.
All published content is subject to effective human oversight, including, where necessary, the verification of information and sources, as well as the review, amendment or rejection of the content. The final decision on publication and the related responsibility always remain with an editorial manager.
For texts intended to inform the public on matters of public interest, the exception provided for in Article 50(4) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act) therefore applies. Where content has undergone human review or editorial control and a natural or legal person holds editorial responsibility for its publication, there is no obligation to label each individual text as “AI-generated”.
Any images created with the support of artificial intelligence normally serve an illustrative purpose and are not intended to present events or circumstances that never occurred as authentic.
Under the AI Act, a deepfake is an AI-generated or manipulated image, audio or video content that resembles existing persons, objects, places, entities or events and could falsely appear authentic or truthful. Purely illustrative images that do not depict a specific real-world event and are not presented as authentic documentation do not normally fall within this definition.
Should Italian Berry publish content that qualifies as a deepfake, its artificial or manipulated nature will be clearly disclosed in accordance with the transparency obligations established by Article 50 of the AI Act.
